Residents will decide in January whether to protect Ridgefield’s historic East Ridge neighborhood.

The Ridgefield Historical Society’s Historic Preservation Committee seeks volunteers to help preserve the character of our town.

From April 24 – 26, the team from Chronicle Heritage will be on the roads of Ridgefield photographing and documenting residences and structures for a current Architectural Survey of the Town. The weather (picture perfect) is also on board.

Thanks to two grants from the CT State Historic Preservation Office, the Ridgefield Historical Society will soon embark on an updated architectural survey of Ridgefield.

This wooden voting box was used by the Ridgefield Italian American Club to vote on membership. It was donated to the Historical Society by Irene M. Gray in 2018.

There are multiple antique American flags in the archives of the Ridgefield Historical Society. However, this one is likely the oldest, having only 38 stars.
