We're seeking a candidate to lead the Buildings and Grounds Committee beginning this fall.

The Ridgefield Historical Society is seeking a volunteer to lead the Buildings and Grounds Committee beginning this fall. Experience with historic property management/restoration is important, since the person will be overseeing interior and exterior maintenance of the David Scott House, the Peter Parley Schoolhouse and a rental property.

As a member of the board of directors, the buildings and grounds chairman attends monthly board meetings and meets regularly with staff to discuss building concerns. The position includes budget management and organizing volunteers. This post is suited to someone who enjoys the challenges of old buildings and has experience in working with a variety of contractors and tradesmen.
