Interested in Your Home’s History? Consider a Historic House Plaque

The Ridgefield Historical Society Historic House Plaques have marked significant houses and acccessory buildings in the Town of Ridgefield for over 24 years.

Owning a historic home is more than just a privilege—it’s a connection to Ridgefield’s rich past. The Ridgefield Historical Society’s historic house plaques offer homeowners the opportunity to showcase their property’s unique story while preserving its legacy for future generations. Each handcrafted wooden plaque is made by an artisan sign maker and serves as a distinguished marker of your home’s place in history.

When you order a plaque, the Historical Society will conduct a general history of your home and work with you to craft the perfect wording for your plaque. Each plaque comes with a brief snapshot history of your house. A plaque isn’t just a sign—it’s a statement of pride in Ridgefield’s heritage.
