Tellabration 2026

Celebrate the art of storytelling at Ridgefield’s Tellabration 2026 on Saturday, Nov. 21. Founded in 1988 by PawPaw Pinkerton in Connecticut, Tellabration has grown into a global tradition, bringing people together through the power of shared stories. Dr. Darla Shaw will return as M.C. and as a story teller. She recruits and coaches the team of storytellers who each share true four-minute (strictly observed) stories that connect to Ridgefield.

Topics this year range from a true crime story to stories highlighting the history of the Ridgefield schools to a neighborhood history and reminiscence (“To Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street” by former State Representative John Frey). The other storytellers include Mary Ellen Pagano, Rob Mayette, Marc Katz, Tom McManus, Gregg Hutchings, Daryl Noble, Anne Beatty, Walter Beatty, Joan Voss, and Manette Hutchings.

Due to limited parking and seating at the Scott House, registration is required for this free event. Overflow parking is available several blocks away at the Ridgefield Supply Co. at 29 Prospect Street. If you have mobility issues and can’t walk that distance please contact the Historical Society at [email protected] or 203-438-5821.
