Thursday, April 18 @ 10:00 am

A ceremony, Remembering Ridgefield’s Covid Victims, will take place Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the pocket park opposite the Ridgefield Historical Society’s Scott House, 4 Sunset Lane.

The Covid memorial tree, donated and maintained by Steve Zemo for the town, was dedicated last spring at the first ceremony.

All are welcome to attend the 2024 gathering and to place flowers at the bottom of the tree in honor of those who lost their lives in the pandemic. The brief program will include remarks by First Selectman Rudy Marconi, prayer by a representative of the Ridgefield Clergy Association, and closing comments by Ridgefield Historical Society executive director Stephen Bartkus.

The Historical Society will then host a reception in the Scott House and highlight some of the objects and oral histories collected during the pandemic to preserve the memories of this global event as it affected Ridgefield. Please join us.

The event free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Ridgefield Commission on Aging, the Ridgefield Historical Society and Steve Zemo.
