Ancient Art – Delightful Day

Participants experienced the artistry of hand-cut silhouette making capturing a moment in time in the life of their families.

Ridgefield Historical Society volunteers, aided by National Charity League volunteers, always enjoy Silhouettes Day in December, when Deborah O’Connor works her magical scissors and Scott House is bustling with families. The process of cutting a portrait takes only minutes, with an iPad screen easing the urge to wiggle. Now that Christmas is past and we won’t spoil any surprises, here are a few pictures from the day. Keep us in mind for next December!
