On Sunday, April 30th, the Ridgefield Historical Society hosted a Gilded Age Tea, in collaboration with Lounsbury House, a stunning example of the architecture and sensibility of that time. The event featured a presentation by Kandie Carle, Victorian Lady, who educated guests on the clothing and accessories of the era, followed by an assortment of tea and treats.
Thank you to our intrepid guests for bringing glamour and grace on a less than optimal day and to Kandie Carle for the education and entertainment, and for reminding us all that our lives — and the lives of our family and friends — are worth documenting because, they too, will be history one day. Improbable as that seems right now.
