One of the Ridgefield Historical Society’s main missions is the preserving, interpreting and fostering knowledge of Ridgefield’s architectural heritage. The Historic Preservation Committee is seeking volunteers to assist us in our continuing efforts to help preserve the historic character of our streetscapes.
Our recent efforts with the Demolition Delay Ordinance and tracking development projects reveal that we need administrative help to track multiple ongoing efforts. This volunteer could work from home if they prefer but we encourage getting to know the staff, our working board and many other enthusiastic volunteers at the Scott House, our headquarters.
For information and to discuss whether this volunteer position might be a good fit, please email the Society at [email protected]
The 1714 Scott House is a part of Ridgefield’s architectural history that was saved and restored to an adaptive use by the volunteers who founded the Ridgefield Historical Society.
