The Ridgefield Historical Society is pleased to announce several paid summer internships to assist with a variety of projects related to the mission of the organization. The objective of the Ridgefield Historical Society is to preserve, interpret, and foster public knowledge of Ridgefield’s historical, cultural, and architectural heritage.
The internships are made possible through the generosity of the Kasuli Family and the Goldstone Family Foundation. The Kasuli Internship honors the memory of the late Georgianne Kasuli, a long-time member of the Board of the Ridgefield Historical Society. The Goldstone Family Internship Program supports the hiring of interns at Ridgefield non-profit organizations.
A summer internship at the Ridgefield Historical Society offers hands-on experience in all aspects of our operations, working alongside staff and volunteers on program development and promotion, assessing and cataloging collections, public relations, and social media.
An interest in history, museum studies, archives, historic preservation, archaeology, arts & culture, education, or the humanities is required. Internships take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, beginning in mid-June and ending in mid-August. The pay rate is Connecticut minimum hourly wage ($15.69).
