State Historian Walt Woodward in Conversation with Emeritus State Archaeologist Nick Bellantoni

Hear an episode of "Grating the Nutmeg" in which State Historian Walt Woodward interviews former state archaeologist Nick Bellantoni.

In this segment of Grating the Nutmeg, which aired on November 15, 2021, Connecticut State Historian Walt Woodward announced he will be retiring next July 1st.

To find out what “historical” retirement is like, Woodward sat down with Nick Bellantoni, who retired as state archaeologist in 2014. The resulting conversation was a fascinating discussion of archaeological sites in Connecticut, Nick’s successor state archaeologists, and Nick’s own career of amazing discoveries.
