Kate Tebbe Awarded 2023 Scholarship

Congratulations to Kate Tebbe, Ridgefield High School Class of 2023, who was awarded the second annual Ridgefield Historical Society Scholarship on June 6th.

The 2023 Ridgefield Historical Society Scholarship was awarded to graduating senior, Kate Tebbe, at the Ridgefield High School Award Ceremony in June. The scholarship — founded in 2022 — encourages students to share their individual perspectives on our Town’s history.

Kate submitted a presentation referencing Ridgefield’s unusual 2011 and 2012 Halloweens — both cancelled due to inclement weather, 2011 “Snowtober” and 2012 Hurricane Sandy.

Kate’s submission will be preserved in the Historical Society vault along with other items in our Collection.

The Historical Society Scholarship, worth $1000, will support Kate’s ongoing education. She will be attending Trinity College in Hartford, CT in the fall.

The Ridgefield Historical Society is grateful to all students who submitted applications for the scholarship. We appreciate your time and your interest in the history of our town. It will serve you well!
