Ridgefield Public Schools are winding down, but it’s opening day at the Peter Parley Schoolhouse — known as the West Lane Schoolhouse in its day and subsequently named for exceptional graduate, Peter Parley.
See the classroom as it likely looked in 1915, learn about the district schools, and enjoy a special class at 2:30pm, led by Dr. Darla Shaw and Barbara Kaplan — educators, students, and storytellers both who believe in the value of history to teach and entertain.
