Presented by the Ridgefield Theater Barn, in collaboration with the Ridgefield Historical Society, Eccentric Women of Ridgefield is an hour-long showcase of monologues, adapted for the stage from the storytelling of Dr. Darla Shaw. Eccentric Women celebrates the lives and originality of four distinct women from Ridgefield history: Sarah Bishop, Mary Louise Beatrice Olcott, Carmela Sabilia (the Peanut Lady) and Jacqueline Seligmann (the Cat Lady).
The Ridgefield Theater Barn is hosting two performances of Eccentric Women of Ridgefield: Friday, November 18 at 8:00 pm, and Sunday, November 20 at 2:00 pm. Each performance will include a talk back with Dr. Shaw, the actors, and Sally Sanders from the Historical Society.
Doors for the Sunday, November 20 Performance will open at 1:00 pm. Please join us early for tea, and refreshments, baked for the occasion by mothers and daughters from the National Charity League, Ridgefield Chapter.
