The Ridgefield Historical Society will be an exhibitor at the 92nd Cannon Grange Agricultural Fair at 25 Cannon Road in Wilton on Sunday, Aug. 25, 10am-4pm.
The much-anticipated annual event is the grand finale to summer and is enjoyed by hundreds of children and adults who participate in juried agricultural contests ranging from Culinary Arts to Poultry & Fowl, to Rabbits, Sewing & Needlework and many more. Details for entries are at cannongrange.org. Additionally, dozens of concessionaires will be in attendance. Admission is $2 per person.
The Ridgefield Grange joined forces with the Cannon Grange in the 1950s, uniting two organizations dedicated to preserving the agricultural legacy of Wilton and Ridgefield.
The Ridgefield Historical Society will offer visitors an opportunity to delve into the rich history of Ridgefield and its agricultural heritage through a display of photographs and merchandise, including a wide selection of Ridgefield history books, which will be for sale.
