Your tax-deductible gift will ensure the Society’s growth and its future as a resource for Ridgefield and the local area. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
Over the past year, the Ridgefield Historical Society has expanded its archives, increased educational programming, and formed new partnerships. Through our commitment to culture and community, the Historical Society has encouraged Ridgefield to preserve its past and protect its future. By supporting our Annual Fund, you will help us to continue this important work that enriches our town and neighbors. This past year we have:
- Collaborated with local partners, including Ridgefield Library, Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center, League of Women Voters in Ridgefield, Ridgefield Arts Council, and the Ridgefield Historic District Commission, among others, to create relevant and timely programs.
- Launched a series of Ridgefield Historic Walking Tours, downloadable for free on the ConnTours App, in partnership with the CT Humanities.
- Acquainted hundreds of visitors with the history and life of the Peter Parley Schoolhouse through our Sundays at the Schoolhouse program.
- Offered a place for genealogical and historic building research with access to our collection and library at the Scott House.
We hope you will take part in one of our many upcoming events, exhibits, and programs at the Scott House and the Peter Parley Schoolhouse in the coming year.
