The Scott House is open from 1 pm to 4 pm the last Sunday of each month, from January through April 2020. Click here for directions.

At 3 pm, Andy Forsyth, Assistant Director of the Ridgefield Library will moderate a discussion of The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote by Elaine Weiss. Space is limited; please RSVP at the event page on the Library’s website.

This book will be read and discussed throughout the Ridgefield community during 2020, as part of the First Principles Book Club and Votes For Women: Ridgefield Celebrates the 19th Amendment seriesThe Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote has been hailed as a “riveting, nail-biting political thriller” with powerful parallels to today’s political environment. In addition, the author will give a lecture about the book at the Library on Sunday, April 19 at 2 pm.

The Votes for Women series is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Ridgefield, Ridgefield Library, Ridgefield Historical Society, Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center, and Drum Hill Chapter of the DAR. This program is supported in part by CT Humanities and the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.
