This month, we introduce Ray Murphy, who joined the Historical Society Board earlier this spring after volunteering with the Collections team for a year. A retired attorney, Ray brings a love of history, professionalism and good sense, plus a very nice manner to his post.
Thanks to the generosity of the Ridgefield Thrift Shop, the Ridgefield Historical Society is embarking on a technology upgrade, updating equipment and systems best left in the past.

The Battle of Ridgefield Walking Tours went off as planned on Saturday, April 29th, featuring eight historical characters, a mile-long route, and plenty of raindrops.
From April 24 – 26, the team from Chronicle Heritage will be on the roads of Ridgefield photographing and documenting residences and structures for a current Architectural Survey of the Town. The weather (picture perfect) is also on board.
The Ridgefield Historical Society recently welcomed Stephen Bartkus as our interim executive director. An historian, archaeologist, and student of Connecticut history, Stephen brings a depth of experience and excellence to all he does.
This summer, the Ridgefield Historical Society offers two paid internships, through the support of the Goldstone Family Foundation and the Kasuli Family.
