The Scott House Today

The Society

The Ridgefield Historical Society was established in 2001 when the Scott House, which had been carefully taken apart piece by piece in 1999, was reassembled on town owned land at the corner of Grove Street and Sunset Lane.

Here the photographs, documents, and artifacts that tell the fascinating stories of Ridgefield’s past are safely stored in our temperature and humidity controlled archival vault. Our collection could be numbered and cataloged so that all could view them on our website. Our research library, containing books about Ridgefield’s past continues to grow and be utilized by those who are interested in our history or their family’s genealogy.
